Where can I find 2" maple hardwood strips?

My home was built in 1913. The entire second floor has solid maple hardwood flooring. The strips are 2 inches wide and 3/4-inch thick. Is there anywhere this kind of flooring can be found anymore? I'd like to extend the flooring into an un-floored section of closet space which now only has exposed sub-floor, but everywhere I look it seems that strip sizes for hardwood flooring start at 2-1/4".

Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums! Most gymnasiums are in 2" maple, so if you can find where they are installing a gym floor, you may be able to find their supplier. Have you tried outlets like Lumber Liquidators, or local flooring supply houses in your area? To extend into a closet, you would never notice the difference in the 2 1/4" flooring, just change the direction of the floor in the closet.

That's great information about gymnasiums. Thank you.

If I can't find the 2" stock, I'll probably just use 2-1/4", as you suggested.
