Angry Wax build-up on engineered exotic hardwood floor

My girlfriend had Cryntel Ultimate Engineered Exotic plank flooring installed throughout her home. The manufacturer recommends that the floor NOT be waxed. Unfortunately, in an effort to give her floors a higher gloss, she waxed them with Orange Glo 4 in 1 repeatedly over several months.

The floors now have a wax build-up that has degraded their original appearance. Further recommendations from the manufacturer clearly state:

  • Never clean with with any abrasive products, materials, or tools
  • Never use solvent or solvent based cleaning products, materials, or tools

The obvious question is:

How can we restore the flooring to its original condition without further damage?

We welcome any advice you can offer. Thank-you for your time and assistance.

i have engineered wood floor in kitchen. sometimes the wife gets grease on the floor . i use LYSOL 4in1 all purpose cleaner. it makes the floor like new. idk if it will get up wax, i don't wax my wood. so idk if it will work for you. i say try it on a hidden spot and see if it works. i bet it will, as its a good grease cutter.
