Floating floor and stair nose connection

I am installing bamboo floating floor and have a question about the top stair nose connection. It connects to the upper level where I want to put in a floating floor. The top stair nose will be glued in place. The floating floor connecting to the stair nose will need 1/4 inch expansion gap space to allow it to expand and contract. To cover the 1/4 inch I will need to put in a connection/reducer piece. The connection/reducer piece will create a bump. How can I avoid this bump. Please advise my options.

I don't know that you can. Floating floors require expansion space around the entire perimeter, so transition pieces normally "lip over" the edge of the flooring to accomodate that space. It is not abnormal at all to have this little hump at the top of a staircase when a floating floor is installed;everyone I've ever sold or installed has had it, and I've never known it to cause any problems.
