Narrow strip of laminate flooring

I've installed two laminate floors before and will be doing another one shortly. On this floor, there is a narrow (6") wide strip of the floor that follows along the top of a staircase. Any suggestions on how to install such a narrow strip? What will keep it from moving?

I'm not quite sure how to load a picture. Sorry, I do have one. Basically, it's about a 6 inch strip that lays between floor to ceiling windows (part of a sliding glass door onto a deck) and a stairwell on the other side. The strip doesn't go down the stairwell, it runs along the top of the stairwell.

Ok, maybe not. Here's a link that works. I have to replace the carpet here with laminate flooring. Because this is such a narrow strip, should I be securing it somehow like gluing it down etc. Nobody really walks on this part.

Assuming that there is a wooden subfloor why you don't use some panel nails or construction adhesive?
