Does slab crack need repaired prior to wood floor installation
Hello Forum,
I am getting ready to install hardwood stranded bamboo flooring, and have found a 1/8 crack in my 35 year old concrete slab. I will be doing a glue down using Ultrabond Eco 995 epoxy sealer/cement. Do I need to repair the crack before hand, or can I glue down over it?
Thanks in advance,
Mitch

Since your slab is 35 years old I would say what you have is a surface crack and I would not bother to repair it.

Any adhesive used should fill the crack nicely, but I would still check it with a straight edge to make sure it won't cause problems with flatness of the subfloor. Hope this helps.
