Need help on fixing my wooden floor after taking down walls.

How do I get this fixed? After I have taken the walls down the floors inside looked like this.....How do I get it to look the same as the other wood?

Welcome to the forums!

You'll probably need to sand and refinish the entire floor

How big is the affected area? If its just that one strip that you show in the pic (approx. 6' long?), you could probably feather in a spot refinish. This involves sanding down the strip and playing with stain and finishes to achieve a good match. (Don't expect absolute perfection) Think of it this way, if you had a large piece of furniture that was scratched, the restorer would not necessarily strip and refinish the entire piece. The same goes for your floor. I would ask everyone I know if they know a good floor refinisher. It looks like you live in an older neighborhood, your neighbors should have some suggestions.
