how to cure this problem....

We have pine floors. The sun has bleached a couple of areas over by the door/window areas (maybe a foot with 8' across). What is the best cure for this problem? I thought about putting new stain down, but it would only "sort of" match. Maybe that's about all I can do.....

This is the way pine is, don't know that there's any long term solution for you

I'll let Marksr or others chime in on the "fix", but the "cure" would be 35% neutral gray 3M window tinting to help block the UV's. You may only need it on the west side of the house, check it out.

I doubt you can touch up an area and get an acceptable job
The fix would be to sand down to raw wood and refinish

Well thanks for all your words. Yes, I'll fumble around and try to do some kind of fix.

The thing about putting the window tinting on is a valuable tip to me. Only two doors would need that.

We'll press onward with the utmost of dispatch.......
