Floating hardwood floor and heavy objects

I want to install a floating hardwood floor in my kitchen, but I'm worried that when the refrigerator is brought back in, the floor will buckle. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Welcome to the forums! It depends on whether you install a thin cheesy laminate or a good thick engineered floor. The laminate will tend to be more flexible, and I would be wary of rolling heavy stuff over them. Thicker engineered flooring...no problem.

get a piece of masonite. lay that on the floor in front of where the fridge goes. have the fridge brought in on a dolly that has rubber tires.
set the fridge on the masonite and push it into place. no damaged flooring.
