Flooring question.

Is there a laminate that looks like a 12 x 24 tile? Just curious because if there is I may go that route because I won't have to heat the floor. I can't stand cold tile and if I do the tile way then I will also need to spend to heat it.

Depends on where you will install it. Bathroom.....Kitchen......
You'd just have to shop around. I doubt anything will come in 12" widths. I laid a slate looking laminate once that was 8" wide with a varying rectangular pattern of up to 24".

Any hard surface flooring will feel cold to the feet no mater what it is.
If this is going to be a kitchen or bathroom never use hard wood or laminite due to the chance of water damage.
Take a look at Allour flooring at Home Depot. Super simple to install with just a set of metal snips. They have it that looks like tile and real wood.

Definatley bad idea for laminate in a wet area.

IVC makes a wonderful looking fiberglass backed vinyl that looks really REALLY good. It is structurally stable: no curling or shrinking. and is cushioned which provides added R value and comfort.

As far as tiled laminate, if a dry area, Quickstep makes some nice tile looks, but probably not the 12x24" profile

I have decided on tile. I am going to heat it and make it cozy. Going with a daltile - COLORBODY PORCELAIN - Vibe - Techno Brown. Polished. Looks cool and very modern.

floor and decor has a laminate that looks like 12x18 tile. I agree with your choice of tile tho. We decided to go with 22x22 porcelain in our kitchen.
