Attaching Laminated flooring to stair nose

Is it appropriate to biscuit join and glue a stair nose to the laminate flooring to create a solid join; or if not does one fill the join with silicone?

Use the overlap stairnose from the manufacturer of the floor. The stairnose is nailed or glued to the subfloor, and the laminate slides underneath the overlap. There should be no visible gap. The gap should be underneathe the overlap. I don't mean to bust on you, but it sounds like you need to take the time to read the installation instructions
