advice on real hardwood floors

Hi, I'm not sure if this should go in the cleaning section, but what would you guys recommend the best way for cleaning hardwood floors? I'm renting out a house from a friend and I've been using the swiffer wet jet, but I feel like I should be doing more. I really want to take good care of these floors. What do you guys use?

Applying water to your floors may not be the best thing to do. The lady that cleans our house, occasionally, uses Orange Glo Floor Cleaner, and it works well. Now, we have parquet which is probably 30 years old. If your floor has prefinished flooring, you may not need that much to keep it up. Just don't douse it with water. Use cleaner sparingly.
