Question subfloor thickness vs joist spacing

If the the subfloor thickness is too thin based on joist spacing can you just screw down a 1/2 or 1/2 layer of ply or osb to make it up? I have 24' center to center joists and 3/4 OSB subfloor but manufacturer specifies 1 inch subfloor up to 19 inch joist spacing. Thanks again.

Then you'll probably need a full 3/4" addition since you are on 24"oc. What are you planning as final flooring? Tile, hardwood, carpet, etc?

Also helps to know what size the joists are and what the unsupported span is.
