Prepping a concrete foundation for glue down hardwood

We are prepping our concrete foundation house for glue down hardwood flooring. Once the carpet was pulled up we saw that when they built the house they were a little sloppy with the walls texture plaster. For the most part it comes up with hours of scrubbing with warm water and a scrapper. We have have it smooth to the floor but my question is how important is it to keep working at this? Will the glue still bond properly? Posted pics below. Any advice will help. Thanks!

That looks more like paint than texture or joint compound, your adhesive should bond fine.
