Moisture barrier for laminate over concrete
So assuming you are using a separate moisture barrier over a concrete slab for laminate installation, what is acceptable? Is the blue sheeting sold as moisture barrier any better than general purpose 6 mil sheeting ("Husky" brand or similar)?
Thanks
Thanks

First, check with the flooring manufacturer and use what they recommend to maintain your flooring warranty. I use the red with white styrofoam dots on it with the dots down. Allows air circulation under the underlayment.

Use this stuff it's good on concrete and it's the only thing you put down. You don't put clear 6ml plastic down for laminate on concrete you will trap moisture.

An additional 6 mil moisture barrier IS recommended with the Quiet Walk over concrete.
I went with Lumber Liquidators' Eco Silent which does not require an additional barrier.
