can you staple hardwood against a marble thersholde
Can you staple hardwood against a marble thershold that is butting along ceramic tile without cracking the marble?

Welcome to the forums! Depends on whether you are starting or finishing there. Since you don't have the advantage of having the groove supported by an adjacent tongue of flooring, you will probably need to face nail it down about 1/2" in in a few places from the marble and, using the same, nailer, nail through the tongue at an angle. From there you can proceed with your flooring stapler/nailer. You face nails can be puttied over.

Not likely if you face nail the edge against the marble first, as I suggested. I wouldn't use the flooring stapler until I cleared at least one full row away from the marble to lessen impact and movement of the flooring. Stand on your flooring as you staple it as well.

Most likely the marble and flooring are at different heights. If the flooring is higher and you clear the marble with the seat of the nailer you should be fine. You can block the floor off the marble so it is not touching at the door jambs. However, that gives you 2 maybe 3 staples at most along the whole starter course. The rest up against the wall will need to be face nailed. You also will need to face nail the marble side of the first course. In other words, why risk the marble when you need to face nail anyway.
