Staples or L Cleat Nails

Soon to begin laying 3/4" Pine and Oak flooring in about 700 sq feet (two different rooms).
Buying flooring nailer tomorrow.
My sub-flooring it two layers of 3/4" plywood (1` 1/2" total thickness).

Was assuming I should use 2" fasteners.

Do I use the L cleat nails or staples for this work, please?

Same for both woods or is one better with one or the other for this work?

Gratitude,

Fr. Jeff+

You'll see fewer jams and partial sinkings with "L" cleats. I have changed almost exclusively to cleats. Granted you are getting double the holding power with staples. 2" fasteners is correct.
