Radiator water damage on floor

Hi everyone,
Looks like there was some water damage to the hardwood floor in my bedroom from the radiator. (Pic attached) I was thinking about using Minwax Wood Hardener on it and then maybe put in some wood filter and stain it. I looked at the directions/warnings on the wood hardener and got a little scared. It says to keep away from heat. Is the radiator area too hot for this? Or is that just in the initial phase while it penetrates the wood?

Any other ideas to fix this up?

Welcome to the forums!

I don't think the heat will be a big deal, it's not like you are applying it to the pipe itself. Let's see what some of the others think.
I'm not sure your idea to use a filler and refinish the flooring will come out real good - fillers rarely stain/finish nicely

Thanks for your response.

I went ahead and applied the wood hardener to the food and it looks a lot better. That fixed most of the problem so I'm going to leave it at that.
