Attached vs rolled underlayment for Laminate??

It is quite obvious that laminate would be easier to install with the underlayment attached to it, but most that I have seen is only about 1mm thick! I'm also looking at MPGlobal's 'Quiet Walk' rolled underlayment. I'm mostly concerned with noise. This will be installed over a wood sub-floor. Which is best?

What does the manufacturer recommend? Usually want to stick with that for warranty purposes.
