Self Leveling Basement Prep Before Installing Vinyl Laminate Plank

I have 11' x 13' room in my basement that I wanted to install vinyl laminate plank in. I prepared the floor by cleaning and priming the concrete and laying down self leveling concrete using Mapei products. I am waiting for it to properly cure and planning my next steps.

I have found lots of videos and discussions about installing the self leveling compound and about installing vinyl laminate plank, however I wanted to know what is required before installation.

Does the new Self Leveling Concrete need to be sealed?
If so what is recommended, poly or sealant or both?

Does an underlayment need to be installed on the sealed floor before vinyl laminate plank is installed?
If so what is recommended for a basement installation?

Can anyone recommend a vinyl laminate plank brand, that is durable for a basement application, meaning resistant to dampness of a basement, and easy to install?

Thank you in advance for your kind response.

Mike: Welcome to the forums! Cutting to the chase.....

1. not really, as it is a leveling compound not a seal coating.
2. Whatever the manufacturer of the flooring recommends. This will keep your warranty in place.
3. I have used Allure with good success, but I am sure there are others out there. If you have any dampness, get it under control before you begin any floor installation or it will all fail.
