trimming hardwood around front entrance door with sidelights

I am installing a floating hardwood engineered floor in my foyer and livingroom. It is recommended to keep a 1/2 gap from all edges of the hardwood. Can someone please give me an idea as to how to hide 1/2 gap at my front door to the hardwood. I tried a piece of quarter round, but this just does not look right. Is there anything else I could use instead of quarter round which has been suggested
Thank you

I would have ran it closer then 1/2" and used 1/4 round also.
Got a picture?

That's why it's usually recommended to remove the base board first and get most of your expansion gap under the base. Depending on the tools you have available, you might rip down a piece of hardwood, router the edge and use it. Pics might bring other suggestions - http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...-pictures.html
