Waxing Floor?

Hello,
Hoping I could get some feedback and comments on whether WAXING a wood floor is suggested or recommended. We have Brazilian Cherry solid wood floor installed in 2 rooms which is about 3 yrs old. When it was installed we were told just thoroughly clean (with a mircofiber mop) and us a quality cleaner like Bonar for wood floors and nothing more. However, recently I have notice a greater number of "wood wax" products from many of the major manufactures.
I was wondering what people thought or what the recommendations would be. My initial though when seeing these products was waxing does not sound like a great idea for a wood floor. However, I would be interested in other peoples comments.
Thanks

IMO it's better to wax as waxing keeps the finish looking good for a longer period of time. The biggest downside to waxing wood floors is when it comes time to refinish the floor ALL the wax needs to be removed before sanding and refinishing!
