Laminate floor has some flex - Should I remove it and start again ?

Hi,
I recently removed the carpet from my 300 sqf basement.

When I pulled out the carpet, I found a black underlay made of rubber, about 1/4 inch high.

I decided to keep it and put the laminate floor on it. Laminate floor is 14 mm high.

Problem : in some spots, there are some flex. When you walk on the laminate floor bare feet, you feel that the floor is curving a little under your feet.

I did not put the mouldings yet, waiting for your advice : should I remove
the black underlay or keep it ? is it ok to have a laminate floor flexing a bit or will that damage it ?

Welcome to the forums! If the underlayment is not approved by your flooring manufacturer, not only will you void your warranty, but you could have flexing problems which could eventually lead to plank separation.
