stair nose for click lock engineered wood
Hi,
i am thinking about buying this
Home Legend Distressed Kinsley Hickory 3/8 in. Thick x 5 in. Wide x 47-1/4 in. Length Click Lock Hardwood Flooring (26.25 sq.ft/cs)-HL132H at The Home Depot
it is 3/8in thick. Do i buy 3/8in thick stair nose?
I am planning on getting this as stair nose
Home Legend Strand Woven Toast 3/8 in. Thick x 3-3/8 in. Wide x 78 in. Length Bamboo Stair Nose Molding-HL40SNH at The Home Depot
and i don't know if it is going to fit perfectly with the board i am buying.
Also what kind of glue is recommened?
The description says I need to nail and glue but wouldn't nailing it damage the wood?
Thanks

Unless the bamboo stair nosing is made for click lock, I'd look for a hickory nosing that matched your flooring's click lock design. You can use Titebond II or a flooring glue, but just remember to wipe it off immediately with a wet cloth or you'll see the residue later on.
