wood stain on toilet

I just had my floor sanded and restained. The installers got stain all over the base of my toilet. Any suggestions of how to remove this? It is yellowish and looks terrible - like I have a very dirty toilet base.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

If it's stain, mineral spirits will easily remove it. I suspect it's polyurethane which is a lot harder to remove. Poly might come off with gentle scraping using soap as a lubricant or be dissolved with a hot solvent like lacquer thinner.

The best thing to do would be to bring back the floor finisher and make him clean up his own mess!!
