Hardwood "shorts" in kitchen, dining room & hallway?

Just found a good deal on some Brazilain Cherry shorts with an average length of 1-3 ft. I've read it might appear chopppy & might be more difficult to install but I haven't found anyone really saying, "DON'T DO IT" Thoughts & comments? thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

A lot of short pieces may make it harder to keep the rows of flooring in a straight line.
