dealing with the DRIcore

We are doing at basemant reno and putting in a small apartment. For the flooring we are going with DRIcore sub floor (about 400sq') I have never worked with this before and was looking for some helpful advice. They sell little plasic shims for leveling but was wondering if there was something better to use. Also on this type subfloor does one just place tiles / laminate directly on top or do use a layer of plywood on top of the dricore?
