I am interested in putting down pergo flooring but I have a slab foundation.. I understand the flooring can be quite cold (especially in the winters) so I am interested in knowing whether putting heating under the flooring would be good. Any ideas on where to get information on this or what it might cost?

michellem18,
The floor will probably not be as cold as you think, you are heating the slab with ambient room heat. Your cold floor concern is no greater than say, ceramic tile in a bathroom. Adding heat, usually piped hot water to a plastic pipe maze will add approximately another 3/4 inch to your slab thickness, and will be farily expensive. A few throw rugs or slippers will be alot less expensive.
