Faded area on laminate flooring

Just replaced an area rug that has been on our laminate for three years. The area is noticeably faded compared to the rest of the laminate. Obviously it isn't caused by sun damage! Is there a way to restore that area to the same shine or color?

There is no way to repair it.
Just leaving it exposed for a few years may make the whole floor blend in.

The area under the rug is the right color. It is the rest of the floor that has faded.

Wink

Just give it time to blend in. Before long you won't even notice it.
Alternatively replace the lot!

Hello, as you know that its a natural product and are more susceptible to fading from UV sunlight. So there is no permanent solution, replace it with new one

Donnie2015, welcome to the forums! What is "natural" about MDF with a picture of wood on it coated with aluminum oxide? Your profile states you are a flooring expert. Are telling the OP to replace their entire floor? What would you recommend they replace it with?
