Tile prep prior to installing laminate wood floor
Have a living room that wsas done in 12 x 12 ceramic tile. Grout lines are 1/4 inch and slightly lower than the edge of the tile (typical grout lines). I want to put down a Armstrong laminate wood ontop of the tile. Looks like that Is fine to do, but I get mixed information on if I need to go over the grout lines and bring them level with the tile. Laminate flooring has backing pad attached.

Hopefully, the tile floor is 100% dead flat (doubtful) and does not have any ridges from tile to tile that would cause the laminate to rock or bounce. This action would over stress the click lock mechanism and lead to either failure of a noisy floor. The laminate will bridge the gaps in grout, my concerns are above.
We have friends that have a condo in the mountains. In the kitchen, they have laminate that was installed on padding that was too thick. The floor bounces when you walk on it. It also sounds like you are going to fall through with all the snaps and pops. Drives a guy like me crazy as I know what the problem is. However, I have to remind myself that I am on vacation and to give it a rest.
