Laminate Flooring Chipping

I noticed this morning that our recently installed laminate flooring has developed a slight chip that appears to have caused the top layer of a relatively small section to peel away. I am generally aware of options to fix chips in laminate flooring, but this doesn't appear to have caused it to be that type of problem yet. I was wondering if there was some kind of lacquer or glue that I could put down on the edges of the area starting to peel to prevent it from going any further and being a much more noticeable issue.

Here are some photos to help describe the situation:

Welcome to the forums! Sadly, also welcome to the world of laminate flooring. It will chip and swell mainly because of its structure. It is mostly MDF (medium density fiberboard) with a picture of wood attached to the top and layers of aluminum oxide as a finish. I am not a fan of laminate and can only offer a suggestion. Locate a dark wood finish pen in the paint department of the box stores. It will touch up the chipped areas and may blend them back in. I don't know of any "fix" for it other than that.
