Selecting plywood underlayment

I'm having my entire first floor done with solid wood on a concret slab. Sellers like Lumber Liquidators don't sell plywood. Home Depot has but there are many kinds.
can you give me some advice selection of plywood?
Is there other places you can buy plywood for cheaper price with similar quality?

What type flooring are you entertaining? Solid hardwood, engineered click lock, engineered glue, or laminate? It is usually not advisable to lay plywood on concrete due to possible moisture damage. Have you tested the slab for moisture content? More information will help.

Need to go to plan B, no way would I ever suggest any form of plywood over a slab.
Engineered floor installed as a floating floor over a vapor barrier would be a better choice.

I plan to do solid wood (3/4 inch thick and 5 inch wide ) either prefinished or unfinished (then have it stained) on concrete slab foundation.
around here in DFW, TX area, most solid wood has plywood as a layer and than solid wood. people use plastic as moisture barrier.

Using underlayment under the plywood then driving holes in it does not make good sense. If moisture is not an issue, I would recommend gluing engineered flooring directly to the concrete or use underlayment and click lock engineered flooring.

Plywood on concrete is a recipe for disaster...... If there is not a moisture barrier under the slab, one on the top will just make things worse. It will just trap moisture and make mold grow.
