Subfloor over asbestos?

Just bought my first house, 750sf of asbestos floors ranging from excellent condition in some rooms, to very bad in others. The plan was to use self-leveler, a moisture barrier, and then a bamboo floating laminate. But I'd like to do drywall first and the house is nickle and diming me away from quickly affording laminate. Could I put 1/4" ply over everything, screwed into the existing floor, and leave it like that until I can cover that with laminate? I know it's not great to screw into asbestos, but I feel like it's worse to leave crumbling tiles exposed for the next year or more.

Just skim coat areas where there are defects such as missing a piece of tile or there is a whole tile missing and simply lay the laminate over the top. The asbestos is only a possible danger if it is disturbed. No need to encapsulate.
