Subfloor over asbestos?

Subfloor over asbestos?

Just bought my first house, 750sf of asbestos floors ranging from excellent condition in some rooms, to very bad in others. The plan was to use self-leveler, a moisture barrier, and then a bamboo floating laminate. But I'd like to do drywall first and the house is nickle and diming me away from quickly affording laminate. Could I put 1/4" ply over everything, screwed into the existing floor, and leave it like that until I can cover that with laminate? I know it's not great to screw into asbestos, but I feel like it's worse to leave crumbling tiles exposed for the next year or more.

Just skim coat areas where there are defects such as missing a piece of tile or there is a whole tile missing and simply lay the laminate over the top. The asbestos is only a possible danger if it is disturbed. No need to encapsulate.
