“Rubber” flooring for gym
I am redoing flooring in my basement. Moisture not an issue. It will be several rooms (will use Vinyl or Laminate) flowing into a 15 x 25’ gym. I was thinking of going into gym with same flooring (for resale purposes), and then install a nice thick (?3/8-1/2”) rubber floor. There will be heavy equipment obviously.
1. What are my options i.t.o. the rubber floor? I like the black “industrial look)
2. Should I rather not put vinyl / laminate underneath, and just do rubber directly onto concrete floor?
Thanks for you’re valuable advice.

Some rubber flooring will stain vinyl flooring underneath. If doing a rubber floor I would just go with that. When it's time to sell if needed you can remove the rubber and put down something else.

I have a 10x12 room in the basement with rubber gym flooring.
You can buy large sections, or I went with the 12x12 pieces with interlocking puzzle shapes.
They haven't moved and the only think I found was the texture of the pieces were a little different between boxes but I dont even notice it now!
You would not install this over laminate flooring, just the concrete!

I would not glue anything down unless you have to. A rubber mat should stay in place pretty well on it's own especially if you have some furniture or equipment sitting on it.
