Help with egaline floor needed
We've had a egaline floor laid in our sittingroom. The look we wanted was a shined concrete floor, including pour patterns. Egaline seemed to work and it was laid by our builder. Initially it looked great - flat, clean with nice pour patterns. Just what we wanted.
The builder instructed us to protect the floor with a varnish type layer 4 weeks after install. The exact instructions were never clear.
I'm afraid we've left it longer then 4 weeks now (more like 2 months). We had a new baby and I didn't want fumes in the house.
But now, the floor is starting to get dirty and rough-up. In some places, the first layer is coming up and it's losing it's smoothness.
Some people have mentioned sanding it down, then adding a sealing layer.
I'm tempted to sand it, but worried it might rough it up even more.
Anybody know how to clean, smooth then seal / varnish an Egaline floor? And is sanding an option?
