Hardwood Floor Repair

I have a hardwood floor (light cherry, not laminate) and something happened causing a chunk of it to come out. I have the piece and wish to glue it back into place.

Can someone recommend the best glue to use for this? Anything special I should know in terms of technique or approach, or just apply the glue and pop it in?

Thanks!

Define "chunk". How big is it?

There are 3 glues I would look at, needs to be waterproof glue.

Is one absolutely better, probably not, personal choice but I'd chose the Titebond since I have it on hand!

Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue

PL polyurethane wood glue

Gorilla glue original
