Vapor barrier under Pergo laminate question

Hello, I have concrete floor and bought Pergo flooring that has an attached underlayment. My understanding is that I just need to have a vapor barrier under it and I'm set. My question is there any difference from this product.

HDX 10 ft. x 25 ft. Clear 6 mil Plastic Sheeting (I have some left over from a previous project)

to this product?
MP Global Products MoistureBlock™ Floating Floor Underlayment Vapor Barrier

Also, I noticed some stains on the carpet around the edges of my basement where I'm installing the flooring. While I've never noticed any water seeping in, do I need to worry about any sort of caulking or barrier around the edges of the house? Thank you!

Your best bet is to review the manufactures specifications for installing the material below grade, some is not recommended with or without a vapor barrier!. Should take a look at vinyl flooring!
