Removing a small section of hardwoods in a doorway

I have hardwoods in my bathrooms and we’re removing them to install tile. The oak floors are laid straight through the bedroom and into the bathroom. I want to cut the floors at the entryway so I can remove them and begin tiling. I was considering using a circular saw. I’m trying to avoiding purchasing a new tool for the job but am I better off buying something more specific for this job?

Since the flooring needs to be cut perfectly straight and directly under the middle of your closed door, a circular saw will only get the middle portion of the cut, leaving about 6 inches left on both ends that you must finish cutting with an oscillating tool.
