(actually, I'm not sure if we have laminate or vinyl plank...)
Removed tack strips and some of the nails have pulled up a shallow layer of concrete.
Since this is around the edge of the room, is this an issue?
To be safe, what about using some Quickcrete Concrete patch?
I do plan to let it fully cure before laying the flooring
The rest of the slab does not need to be leveled, so that's good news.
Not clear what the differences are.
I'd like a premixed product. Can only find Ardex in largeish bags of powder.
Is SimplePrep Premixed Floor Patch a suitable product?
Hello All.
I have a floor that was recently refinished. The clear coat was a satin oil based.
The floor finishers weren't very good and their application was splotchy. 3 days after they finished, I went over the top with two coats of Zar waterborne Polyurethane.
Everything went really well and the finish was great. Two days later lined the floor with cardboard boxes and wheeled the fridge on a furniture dolly into place.
Now I have tracks in the floor.
My idea to fix is this:
1. touch in the divots with a little water based urethane.
2. lightly block sand across
3. brush a coat across the track.
My question is this: If you brush a spot with the satin finish, will it blend into the already dried finish? Really trying to avoid refinishing the entire room.
thx

I went to my son's house yesterday and helped him install some bi fold doors. Where the foot bracket mounts to the casing and floor I didn't know if it was ok to just screw thru it or not so I over drilled the hole just thru the laminate and then screwed the bracket in place. Was this a needed step or not necessary?Read More
