2-3/8 Floor slope. correct with weight limits

I have a concrete slab slope of about 2-3/8" and the condo building engineer says the weight using strictly self leveling compound is too much (50-60 50# bags). I was thinking on correcting slope to 1" using compound and then perhaps using different thickness cork to correct the remainder 1" slope. I would then either sand edges or use additional compound to level between the cork pieces. Thoughts? Alternatives? Suggestions?

What if you used lightweight? (50% lighter)
