When install laminate floor near stair post and 1st stair step, how to proceed? The post as shown in first picture looks the part of structure handler to take the load, and may not cut a slim to insert laminate like door frame trim. Also, how to connect laminate floor with stair carpet (stair keeps carpeting)? Any suggestions? Thanks
For the post you would just cut the flooring to go around the post then use qtr round or shoe molding to cover the gap. Don't understand the second question.
Yesterday my dog knocked a white painted wood gate down the stairs, and I can’t tell if this is scratched or stained. It doesn’t just wipe off with soap & water, and I’m concerned to not try something that will erode the finish. Hopefully this is an easy one, and any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi guys,
We are looking to purchase some Karndean Van Gogh or Amtico Spacia. Stories Flooring has a sale on VG at the moment, and it looks great, but I am unsure which one would be best. I have heard Amtico was always the number one and fitters prefer their tiles to fit? Is this rubbish? I plan to install them myself, so I need some confidence that I will be buying the easiest to fit. Preferably click fit, but I am still open to gluedown.
