Question

Read some of your suggestions on how to provide a vapor barrier for hardwood floor installation. When I went to the floor shop that also installs the flooring, they said that they would install a vinyl floor on top of the concrete first and then lay the hardwood/engineered floor (I was looking at bamboo flooring ? if someone have the information on it, good bad? if bad what's wrong with it?).
I also called Home Depot and asked them about the epoxy vapor barrier, I?ve heard somewhere before that it should help and possible eliminate the need for plywood subflooring on top of concrete. Guy at Home Depot said he knows nothing about it and recommended to use Armstrong adhesive that they sell for installing that floor.
Any suggestions are appreciated,

Thanks.

Never, ever sand the old vinyl or linoleum, in case it contains asbestos.
