Best way to clean old hardwood floors
#1
I've recently bought a 130-year-old home that is in need of renovation. The oak hardwood floors throughout the house need to be sanded and refinished, except for one, which looks like it just needs a good cleaning and a fresh coat of poly. Any suggestions of the best floor cleaner? I've heard of Bruce's hardwood floor rejuvenator, but I can't find it anywhere, and even Bruce's doesn't list it on its website. I need something that will lift off all the dirt but won't leave an oily residue, because I want to seal it afterwards. Thanks.

If the area that is "good" is separate from the rest of the floor that needs refinishing and hasn't been waxed, then screen it and poly.
But from reading between the lines of your description, it seems that the area in question is small. If that is the case then I'd refinish it as well so that all the floors match.
