We are purchasing a house, and after the inspection, have found out that a bathroom leak has severely damaged the subflooring underneath the bathtub. How complicated and costly is this to fix? We love the house, but aren't interested in remodeling the bathroom at this time. The floor joists are okay. What should be done? The foundation is conventional, not slab.

I've just recently installed pergo presto glueless snap together flooring. There is a spot where the subfloor was less level than I thought. The floor moves up and down underneath my feet. I can not lift up the flooring because it is all snapped together. There is an opening where the gap is because it stops at a doorway. Is there anything I can put underneath the flooring to fill the gap? Anything that I could possibly squirt underneath it and let it harden? The only hitch is that it is a "floating flooring" so whatever I put underneath can not be sticky or adheasive and stick to the flooring. Any help would very very much be appreciated.
