Remove Laminate from Hardwood Floor
I own a house from 1934 with the original laminate flooring over tongue in grove hardwood floors in my kitchen and dining rooms. How can I remove the laminate without harming the hardwood underneath? Should I opt to place a laminate "hardwood" over all of it? here's the key...I have more time than money and I know how to scrape and sand!

Laminate floors have been around for less than 10 years in the USA. Maybe you can re-state what you have on your floors. If your "original" laminate floor is less than 10 years old and is really a floating laminate floor, it will not be difficult to remove. Get a circular saw and set the carbide tipped blade depth to not more than 3/8" and cut the floor into managable pieces and remove. If you have something other than a plasticized laminate floor, please restate your question.
