Question Continuing Pergo Installation

We have moved into a house that had the main area as half Pergo Original and half carpet. The previous owner bred dogs, and the carpet was in a bad state - in short, it had to go.

We have ordered Pergo to replace it, and the plan is to continue the existing installation seamlessly. The edge I need to continue is a cut plank, so has neither a tongue or a groove.

I have seen the Pergo video, and they indicate that it should be possible to route a new groove into the existing edge while it is still on the floor.

Does anyone know what size router bit is required to do this? Has anyone actually tried routing the plank whilst it's part of the floor? Any tips??!!

Really a job for a Pro

Try this:Plank replacement The technique is what you will need. Pergo sells a router bit with the correct form for the groove. The tongue replacement requires expensive equipment and skill so you are out of luck there. Start with a full plank. Skill will still be required.
