Unhappy laminate floors - chipped surfaces

I've been laying a laminate ,click together-type floor - despite great care, I still get damage to the laminate along the edges.
Does anyone have a remedy/cure? the chipped areas appear much too shallow to apply filler, and bits of laminate warp immediately when I try to glue them back - is there a way to apply some kind of paint or wood - coloured sealant?
Any help much appreciated,
Paul

Paul, This can happen when using a rotary motion to connect the planks and when contact is made with the top surface (corner) of two pieces of laminate flooring. The surface is very hard and minute chips occur. I would need to know and be familiar with the brand to offer a positive solution. (There may be brands across the big pond that are not familair to me) That said: Place the plank to be installed flat on the sub floor and tap it into place. That should remedy the problem.
