Question Which sander is best to use on old hard wood floors?

We are getting ready to refinish our bedroom floor this weekend! Our house was built in 1934, the floors are in pretty good condition. But the floors upstairs have had guite a few coats of varnish on them over the years along with lots of wax. Which floor sander should we use?
Drum or Vibrating? We have radaitor heat. Any advice will be appreciated, need to know something by Friday as we will be renting sander at that time. We have new bedroom furniture comming on Tuesday. So we have to get the floor done this weekend.

Exclamation don't rush ! - PLEASE

I canít intelligently advice you on the sander type to use, but if youíre getting your furniture on Tuesday
chances are you wonít be able to put it down on the floor anyway, varnish will have to COMPLETELY dry out Ė and you probably would want more then one coatÖ
Iíve used a drum type before and itís a very tricky job to get it right especially if drum is off-center, you can pretty much ruin your floor if sander is messed up. Iíd rather go with vibrating type, but again there are more professionals to give you advice on that.
Good luck.

Which sander to use

Thanks we just rented a vibrating sander for the weekend. Hopefully we will be able to sand and varnish bedroom floor over the weekend, and that it will dry out by Tuesday when the furniture comes.
