replacing subfloor in mobile home

I need your help! I need to replace the subfloors in a mobile home and would like some input with type of plywood and also about the placement for any support structures for the subflooring. Any one out there that can help? Appreciate any advice. Ejluv@Hotmail.com

* there is a mobile home forum right here at diy - she just posted instructions on replacing a subfloor and

* another website with instructions is at www.mobilehomerepair.com they also offer an advice forum (but charge for the videos, books, etc.)

I have a house pier and beam foundation and wish to install new wood floors. My question is, is it better/neccessary to install backer board/plywood to increase the stability of the floor? If the existing wood floor is even enough can I just install new over old? Regards, TobyRead More

We have stripped and sanded our hardwood floors, can we just put polyurethane over them now? We do not want to stain them. What is the difference between varnish and polyurethane??? How many coats and time in between? Do I have to do the floor all at once or just small sections? We are in Tx and it is hot and humid, any special things I need to know for this type of location?
