What can I do to fix seams of laminate floors that have raised from moisture?

Nothing! The peaked plank edges will receed but the plastic laminate that was applied at manufacturer has been stretched and will not.

Asbeostes?

I am taking up the old ceramic tile in my dinning room so that I can refinish the hardwood. The adhesive is black and looks like tar. It may contain asbeostes(sp) What is the safest way to do that? I have started to just strip it off because I know I am not supossed to sand it. Tell me if I am going to kill myself by working with this stuff. Thanks, Ron:confused:

Installing Molding

To get the baseboard molding as tight as the original installation, I had to find the studs and nail into them which was a lot of trouble. The original installation seemed to nail them into the drywall. Do they use special nails? This is the standard molding that comes on most houses and if it's not tight I get a gap along the top edge even after painting. I have gone over it with a little putty to close the gap but it seems like a lot of trouble.
