laminate floors

I asked in an earlier post about stone/ceramic look laminate tiles. Does anyone know anything about their durability? I'm specifically thinking about installing this in my kitchen. Do any of you have any experience with this particular look of laminate flooring? What should I look for when shopping?

Thanks.

durability

I am familiar with the formica version of the tile laminate. It has held up very well at all of the installations i have done. I put it in a bathroom and glued all the areas that needed to be glued and caulked per the manuf instruction and they had a "overflow" problem with it i told them to shop vac the water and clean it per the manu instructions it has been 3 wks since the accident and the floor has not changed at all. i was worried it would swell and buckle but it held up really well. It all comes down to what you want to spend and the look you want. You buy cheap you get cheap. on the otherhand some of the more expensive brands are no better than the cheapies your just paying for the name. Do some research on the warrentees see whats covered and whats not a 25 yr warrentee may only be in the strenght and not the finish etc. If you do your homework and pick the one thats right for the application you'll do just fine.
